Mari has a strong vision of the world she wishes to create. She is interested in sustainable solutions, conseptual approach and combining craftmanship with contemporary aesthetics. Her work is about finding a reason to create, to justify making more stuff.
Mari is not only associated with accessory design, she is also recognised for her bookbindings and projects related to sustainability. Her work has been seen in exhibitions around Estonia and in ERKI Fashion Show 2011. Her collection Urban Nomads presents a lifestyle choice for those wishing to return to a nomadic, sustainable lifestyle without giving up the benefits of modern living and contemporary style. It is a conceptual solution for the current and future state of the world environment. A vision of how could things be.

The inspiration comes from ethnographic research about The Sami people, northern mindscape and tradition which is filtered through her personal style. All the materials she uses in the collection have a story, they have been gathered during the journeys she has taken.
